i can't wait to share some of the uber-fabulous pumpkin patch picks from my halloween {mini} sessions, but for now...

with the addition of baby brother, i'm amazed everyday how grown up my little girl suddenly seems. she's suddenly very into choosing her own clothes...AND accessories. seriously. we CAN NOT leave the house without at least one bracelet and a purse. and if she has her way...a tira. everyday. :)

as a mama, i'm lovin' her independence. well...most days. :)
and as a photog mama, i'm lovin' her sense of style. i couldn't have put this outfit together if i tried....

for those of you trying to figure out what to wear for your upcoming session, don't shy away from your toddlers dress up clothes! be brave and let them choose an outfit on their own as a second outfit choice....you won't be sorry -- i promise! :) even if its that batman costume he's been wearing since last halloween with the worn out areas and snags....that's who is is RIGHT now....which is priceless.

three weeks to baby :: the lost photos

officially {3 weeks} to go before baby {dylan} arrives...can i get a {hallelujah!}

with that said, its been amazing to me how {few} photos of {my own} ever see the light of day. Not to say i don't {shoot} lots of pics...its just that with the hustle and bustle of everything {else} they tend to collect dust in the {family downloads} folder. :) so, along with all the {fabulous} new surprises in store for my {pbkisses} clients -- design and photog -- i'm committing myself to sifting through some family shots AND posting a few {lost} session sneak peaks that never made it to the blog.

up first, my co-worker down the hall.....


she often pops into my office with requests for string cheese and nick jr....but more often than not, can simply be heard chattering away with her menagerie of friends.

my personal favorite :: the afternoon wedding of mr. wiggles {zhu zhu pet} to miss scootaloo {my little pony}....as witnessed by their pals from {the littlest pet shop}.

the countdown has begun!

okay. truth-be-told. the countdown {for ME} began at about 20 weeks. this 2nd pregnancy has hit me like a {ton} of bricks. but alas, the finish line is in sight!

enter {mo} the monkey....



katie was quick to decide that the one thing {dylan} will need upon his arrival is his own {monkey}. which she has -- with sheer delight -- christened as {mo}. she sleeps with him every night to keep him company until {baby brother} arrives. she also decided on which poses he should be in the pics above....

only second to her love-of-the-moment, {mo}, is sneaking into my office first thing in the morning. working from home -- while a {huge} blessing -- is also sometimes its own kind of {curse}. but one of my {favorite} perks is that sweet smiling face that peeks around the corner with her blanket ready for some {bed head} love.

manic mondays :: my little wild flower

a beautiful sunny {almost} spring day -- with WILDFLOWERS! a super fabulous find as I was location scouting for an upcoming engagement shoot........Jamie is going to be SO excited. {imagine a little happy dance happening as I type}

katie, as usual, was not {happy} about having to be my soul subject....but who can resist a sunny bouquet of wild flowers springing with flying ladybugs?!?! As long as I didn't {suggest} that she look my way...we were good to go.

big hugs and kisses to uncle chris who arranged for katie to attend the cast member preview for the bippity boppity boutique opening at the disneyland resort! as you can tell, she was completely in her element. :)
