having had 2 c-sections, I'm always in AWE of mommies who are up and at 'em within a few days {even hours!} of giving birth. And when they are pulled together and looking as beautiful as this mommy ....I'm amazed even more!

i'm pretty sure she thought I was NUTS....but she hid it well. ;)  Just think, when it's time for your senior portraits in a few years you won't even think TWICE about twirling in an vacant lot or striking a pose in the alley way behind the movie theater. ;)

the gaynor family :: baby it's cold outside!

I can't think of a better way to have rung in the new year {a few days early} than in the rain with the Gaynor family{s}.  Knowing how tricky a large group session can be in-and-of-itself,  things could have gone downhill fast in the FREEZING RAIN.....but the kids were A-MAZING and set the tone for the rest of us wimpy adults. :)  Did I mention it was RAINING and CCCOLD?!?!  But you would never know it from the smiles and muddy fun that was had by all.  

I'm still in the beginning of the edit...but here are some of my favs so far.  Gaynor family, you ROCK!

we had been planning for months.

after a slight location change {who KNEW huntington beach pier would be PACKED on the sunday before labor day?!?!? ;)}...thank goodness seal beach seemed to be unaffected by the holiday weekend. the sun may have taken the day off but there was plenty-o-fun to be had by the weston boys.....september gloom shloom!

that's right, folks. we here at the ray house looooovvvvveee us some halloween and, quite frankly, its a HUGE chore to drag all those decorations out for only a few weeks! so, in honor of the appearance of our halloween boxes being dug out of the garage {thanks, babe!} here are a few peaks from our trip to Mickey's Halloween Treat in 2009....

if you're due date falls in AUGUST/SEPT/OCT/NOV please touch base with me ASAP so I can get you on my shooting calendar. With the holiday season just around the corner September and October are almost completely booked and I want to make sure you don't miss out due to a full calendar!


A few things to keep in mind...

Newborn shoots are *best* during the first 2-10 days after arrival....we'll book a few days out from your {due date} knowing we could go earlier or later pending actual arrival. Feel free to email with ANY questions....I'm still technically on {maternity leave} but I'm around and promise to get back to you between feedings. :)

three weeks to baby :: the lost photos

officially {3 weeks} to go before baby {dylan} arrives...can i get a {hallelujah!}

with that said, its been amazing to me how {few} photos of {my own} ever see the light of day. Not to say i don't {shoot} lots of pics...its just that with the hustle and bustle of everything {else} they tend to collect dust in the {family downloads} folder. :) so, along with all the {fabulous} new surprises in store for my {pbkisses} clients -- design and photog -- i'm committing myself to sifting through some family shots AND posting a few {lost} session sneak peaks that never made it to the blog.

up first, my co-worker down the hall.....


she often pops into my office with requests for string cheese and nick jr....but more often than not, can simply be heard chattering away with her menagerie of friends.

my personal favorite :: the afternoon wedding of mr. wiggles {zhu zhu pet} to miss scootaloo {my little pony}....as witnessed by their pals from {the littlest pet shop}.
